"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I generally will scale my pictures to be 1280 pixels as the longest dimension. This is for viewing ease and to minimize loading time. If you want a larger copy for any reason, send me a message.
I only post pictures if I think they are worthy of using as a desktop image. Most of mine have spent a good time as my own desktop.
